JAMES SUTTON
BIO

James Sutton is a menswear designer, stylist and freelance fashion writer/journalist.
Interested in drawing from a young age, James would ask his nan to draw for him a range of topics such as princes, cars, mermaids and princesses - "I've never denied how much of a Disney freak I am."
It is this notion of fantasy and fairy tales that James has been inspired by and enveloped into his own designs and other practices, looking at both spectrums of darkness and light to evoke mood, thought and feeling from others.
Unafraid to push the boundaries and ideas of men's fashion, James likes to play with the more masculine/feminine juxtapositions and incorporate them into his work to test the waters while showing a new side to menswear.
James also has a strong passion for styling and fashion magazines - "Grace Coddington is a key figure that I look up to because of her attitude towards fashion as a form of play and make believe." He has helped to style and prepare stage outfits for Rod Stewart's concert at Norwich City Football Ground, Carrow Road (8th June 2011). As well as style a menswear outfit for John Lewis, Norwich, in store fashion show during Norwich Fashion Week (9th March 2013).
